The Colorado Lawyers Committee Welcomes Lidia Guerrero, Fall 2025 Intern

Lidia Guerrero is a second-year law student at the University of Denver- Sturm College of Law. She earned her bachelor's degree in social work at the University of Texas at Austin. Afterwards, she worked as a legal assistant in one of the biggest immigration nonprofits in Texas. For four years, she worked directly with asylum seekers from all over the world. During her time in the nonprofit world, Lidia realized that there is a desperate need for more attorneys in the public interest sector, which prompted her to attend law school. Though she has not decided what specific area of law she wants to work in, she is sure that she wants to work with underprivileged communities for the rest of her legal career.
