CLC Welcomes Miles Williams as Fall 2018 Legal Extern

The Colorado Lawyers Committee is pleased to welcome Miles Williams as our fall legal extern. Miles came to the CLC through the Fall 2018 Judge Mix Public Interest Diversity Internship/Externship Program. Miles is currently a 2L at the University of Colorado Law School where he is a member of the Black Law Students Association and the Sam Cary Bar Association. He is also a mentor for Judge Arguello’s Law School Yes We Can (Si Se Puede) program, in which he helps guide an undergraduate student through their degree and see that they succeed in their goal of being accepted into law school.

Miles received his B.A. in International Studies from Colorado State University, where he also learned to speak French. After graduating, he worked as a banker at US Bank and then as a clerk in the Records Department at Adams County Courthouse.

Miles is seeking to specialize in transactional work in law school and plans on using these skills to help small African-American and other minority businesses in his community succeed.  He is excited to be working with the Colorado Lawyers Committee and is already tackling research on future CLC projects.  Welcome, Miles!
