Welcome Lauren Nelson, Hill & Robbins Fellow 2026

Lauren Nelson is a second-year law student at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and the 2026 Hill & Robbins Fellow with the Colorado Lawyers Committee.

Lauren grew up in Evergreen, Colorado. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she studied International Affairs, Political Science, and Social Innovation. After graduating, she spent three wonderful years as a paralegal at CGH Injury Lawyers.

Throughout her life, Lauren has dedicated herself to public service through sexual assault victim advocacy, homelessness outreach, and community-based legal service. Her passion for advocacy led her to pursue a law degree.

In her free time, she enjoys exploring Colorado with her shepherd-lab mix Nala, cooking for loved ones, and spending time with her grandmother, who remains one of her greatest inspirations.

Lauren remains open to which area of law she wants to practice. This Fall, she will work at the Office of the Children’s Representative, where she plans to further explore how attorneys can create meaningful change in their communities.
