CLC WELCOMES MEGAN RASH, 2023 SATTLER CIVIL RIGHTS FELLOW
Megan is a rising second-year law student at the University of North Carolina School of Law. She earned her undergraduate degree from DePaul University in political science. During her time in Chicago, Megan worked on various political campaigns, took classes through the Inside-Out Program with inmates at the Stateville Correctional Center, and studied abroad in both Jordan and Ireland. In Ireland, she campaigned for reproductive rights as an intern for the Irish Parliament.
After graduating from college, Megan has worked on the Aspen Mountain Ski Patrol as the Accident Investigation Coordinator, while being a first responder to emergency medical calls, performing avalanche mitigation, and doing high-angle technical rescues. She spent her summers working for a summer camp in Estes Park guiding trips in the Rocky Mountain National Park.
Since starting law school, Megan was selected to join the Broun National Trial Team and participated in the Kilpatrick Townsend Mock Trial Competition. She is hoping to join the Immigration Clinic and one of the six journals at Carolina Law.
Originally hailing from a small town on the western slope, Megan is excited to be back in Colorado to hike, mountain bike, and rock climb. She hopes to pursue a career in human rights law with a focus on immigration.
