CLC Welcomes Annika Adams, 2019 Sattler Civil Rights Fellow

The Colorado Lawyers Committee welcomes Annika Adams, the 2019 Sattler Civil Rights Fellow who is working with the Lawyers Committee this summer. Annika is a rising 2L at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where she is active in the American Constitution Society and Student Trial Lawyers Association.  Annika will participate in the Civil Rights Clinic at DU in the Fall of 2019.

Prior to law school, Annika graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, cum laude, with a major in English and minor in Political Science.  While attending the University of Tennessee, Annika interned with the Davidson County Juvenile Court which allowed her to gain valuable insight into how those in power can channel their energy and resources into fighting for those who have been systemically oppressed by our criminal justice system.  This experience helped shape Annika’s desire to pursue civil rights law.

Annika’s work with the Lawyers Committee is made possible by a generous legacy gift from the estates of Bruce and Martha Sattler.
