Training. The Colorado Lawyers Committee (CLC) held a training for lawyers and non-lawyers who want to help resettled Afghans seek asylum. The training was held on March 11, 2022 and was designed to teach volunteers how to help Afghans complete their asylum applications. Anyone who attended the training or watches the recording online is eligible to help out at the upcoming workshops.

Workshops. The CLC is working with Catholic Charities and others to sponsor workshops (where we will help Afghan families complete their asylum applications). The third workshop will be held on May 21st; we expect to have only 9 families at the workshop and will need about 50 volunteers. Beginning in June, we expect to hold much larger workshops and will need lots more lawyer and non-lawyer volunteers. To sign up for the May 21st workshop (from 8:30 to 1:00+), click here.
