Welcome Karli Wurpel, Hill & Robbins Fellow 2020

The Colorado Lawyers Committee is pleased to welcome Karli Wurpel as the 2020 Hill & Robbins Fellow. Karli is a rising 2L at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law.  Karli is a Chancellor’s Scholar, President Elect of the International Law Society, Secretary Elect of the Student Immigration Law Coalition, and of counsel to the 2020-2021 Jessup Team.

Prior to starting law school, Karli spent five years with Child Advocates--Denver CASA where she helped guide advocates and families through the child abuse a neglect system in Denver Juvenile Court. This work examined various children’s rights violations and Karli’s subject area focus was the intersection between human trafficking and child abuse.

As a law student and future lawyer, she plans to continue to examine how the legal system both helps and hinders families and communities in crisis. She is honored to be named the Hill & Robbins Fellow and is eager to use her time at the Colorado Lawyers Committee to continue fighting for and protecting individual rights, particularly those of underserved populations.

Welcome Karli!
