Pro Bono Counsel Certification (Updated June 2022)
Rule 204.6 allows the Colorado Supreme Court to certify attorneys not otherwise authorized to practice law in Colorado to provide pro bono legal services under the auspices of an entity (including the Colorado Lawyers Committee) described in C.R.C.P. 250.9, in accordance with Colorado RPC 6.1.
The certification is free to Colorado lawyers and requires a one-time fee of $50 for out of state lawyers, so long as pro bono counsel continues to provide pro bono services and files the required reports.
Attorneys certified under Rule 204.6 are exempt from the Colorado CLE requirements. See Rule 204.6(9).
