Part One: Asylum Training

Part ONE: “Asylum Law 101,” January 20, 2022, 1:00pm – 4:30pm An overview of asylum law featuring national asylum expert Annie Daher, Center for Gender & Refugee Studies, and Hiroshi Motomura, Susan Westerberg Prager Professor of Law at the UCLA School of Law.

The training is free for attorneys who agree to take a pro bono case through RMIAN. Participants who indicate that they are available to take a pro bono case this spring will be assigned a case during the training. Participants will meet in small groups (during and after the training) with their mentors to review questions and receive guidance.

**CLE accreditation pending. 3 CLE credits requested for each session (total 6). This training is also open to paralegals or other legal staff assisting attorneys with asylum cases.
